iConcur

So, Google Personalized Homepage has changed its name to iGoogle. I should have seen it all along. The URL is google.com/ig . . . "iGoogle." I wonder if this naming convention has anything to do with Eric Schmidt (Google's CEO) being on the board at Apple Inc.

In any case, along with the shortened, simplified name, it has also simplified personalizing gadgets. Merged with the naming announcement was that of making it easy to create such personalized gadgets as a gadget with your own YouTube videos in it, a gadget that tells your friends your current status, a greeting card gadget and more. It looks like Google Personalized Homepage has grown up. I, for one, will be glad never to have to type out that entire phrase again. iGoogle. I could get used to that.

Now, somehow, they need to make iGoogle sync with your iPod and iPhone.
