Monday Night's Line-Up

The usual suspects: Heroes, House and Castle. The episodes: "Strange Attractors," "Brave Heart," and "Vampire Weekend," respectively. Monday night's lineup is probably one of the best in TV. This is why I love it. But I don't love it enough to buy basic cable. Which is why I watch Monday's programing on Hulu on Tuesday. Welcome to another entry of The Day After.

Heroes is still slowly getting better, but it still only has a vague sense of direction. The characters are just kind of meandering around doing what they know and being sort of lead to a mysterious circus that could probably be anywhere and is run by a guy who has some weird combination of powers. Yeah, don't ask me what Heroes is up to. All I know is that one of the original cast is going to die soon. Probably Parkman.

House is pretty much back to where it started, except for the fact that Chase is still dealing with the fact that he effectively murdered someone and I still miss Taub, 13 and Kutner. In this episode the team deals with a guy who thinks he's going to die because he's at the same age his father and grandfather died. In the end, House ends up finding out for himself the virtues of the placebo effect.

And Castle! Can't leave Nathan Fillion out! This episode starts off with our favorite mystery novelist preparing for a Halloween party which he apparently throws every year. This opening is probably the best one they will ever do in the entire run of this show. I'll tell you about it in the spoilers. The episode goes on to solving the case of a guy with a vampire fetish being killed and the tragic thing he experienced in his past that lead him to to such a fetish.

All three of these episodes are quite good. Neither stand out as extraordinary (except for the opening of Castle :D), but I fully enjoyed watching them. Cream of the crop, I'd say. Worth a watch.
