We open on one of the most unexpected things you would expect to see in the Delphic Expanse: a crew of Andorians. Commander Shran is in command and is informed that they're closing in on Enterprise, the quarry for which they have been hunting for some time now. Now there's a good series of stories to tell: the adventures of the Andorians in the Delphic Expanse.

Review
You know it's going to be a good episode when the teaser of a Star Trek episode starts off in modern times. Of course, that might just be my love of time travel talking. The central figure of this episode is named Loomis, and when we first see him, he's walking into his apartment in Detroit, Michigan, 2004 A.D., and receiving a phone call from a clandestine figure who asks about his "selection." When the phone call ends, the figure is revealed to be a reptilian Xindi.

This episode starts you off reeling. The crew is holding a funeral service and when you finally get a chance to look down into the coffin torpedo, who do you see? The face of Charles "Trip" Tucker III! What is this!? How can Trip be dead!? Well, of course, then the writers take you back in time to show you...

The crew finds an old Western town on a planet in the middle of the Delphic Expanse.

Review
The other day I was just watching a few episodes of Firefly and remarking on how much I love the combination of the sci-fi and western genres. The glory of writing sci-fi is that you can pretty much justify anything you want. If you want to do a western story set in the future, do it! You can use time travel, alien transplanting, hostile alien take-over within the period, or, if you're really good, you can explain how humanity has colonized the galaxy and returned to their western ways. The only stipulation is that, whatever explanation you use, it should make sense.

Star Trek: Asterisk "Twilight"

Premise
Unable to form any new memories due to contact with a spatial anomaly, Archer finds himself in a dismal future.

Review
In the teaser, Archer wakes up in his quarters in the middle of a battle without a clue of what's going on. He rushes to the bridge to find T'Pol in a Starfleet uniform, commanding the bridge and watching as a massive Xindi weapon points a beam directly at Earth. The weapon activates, and the molten core of the planet splits Enterprise's home apart as it expands and eventually explodes. The viewer is left staring agape at the screen thinking... "Oh, goody! A time travel episode!"

Review
In another teaser featuring the enigmatic Genosis Xindi council, Degra, a Xindi Primate with Xindi reptilian buddies, take a look at a hologram of the weapon that's meant to destroy Earth. They're ready for testing, but they just need 100 more kilograms of kemocite from a trusted mining outpost first. And guess where the coordinates that Creepy Tarquin gave Enterprise are.

Air Date: October 15, 2003

Premise
A creepy telepathic alien thinks he can scare Hoshi into staying with him for the rest of her life.

Review
The episode opens with T'Pol telling Archer that she believes there may be more than one giant sphere in the Delphic Expanse that's causing the spatial anomalies. The gravimetric energy that they radiate shoot out in rays and intersect each other; these intersections cause the areas of high concentrations of anomalies. By tracking these areas, T'Pol guesses that there should be at least fifty different spheres all throughout the Expanse. And the nearest one is not far off. TIME TO EXPLORE.

Remember the video Archer saw of Vulcans going crazy inside the Delphic Expanse? This is what happened to the ship that ship was looking for.

Review
You know it's going to be a good episode when the teaser scene is of T'Pol letting out a blood curdling scream as she awakens from unconsciousness while being carried into sick bay by Archer.

Archer takes on board a sex slave who gets along swimmingly with the crew... sort of.

Review
In this episode we return to the relevant plot line of the Xindi council. They all get together and discuss the Enterprise moving through the Expanse while debating whether to finish a weapon that they were preparing for the Humans. Apparently it's a biological weapon and they need Human biological information in order to finish it.

This episode opens with a scene of some aliens in space suits hunting down and killing a primal type of alien with flame throwers. Apparently someone was having a bad day.

Weird spacial anomalies rock the ship while a group of pirates come on board and steal vital supplies. Actually, they don't rock the ship as much as roll it.

Reviews
Continuing the mystery of the Delphic Expanse, the ship starts experiencing the weirdest things that have ever been recorded in Star Trek history. And that's saying a lot. Objects fall to the ceiling, bumps roll through the decks like waves through a sea and Archer's cup of coffee starts to spill, but stops in mid air. The anomalies disrupt the warp field and force Trip to shut down the warp reactor. In the same moment, all the power goes out. And all the viewers start to wonder what the heck just happened.

Star Trek: Asterisk "The Xindi"

Vital Information
Series: Enterprise
Episode: S03E01
Air Date: September 5, 2003
Written by: Rick Berman & Brannon Braga
Directed by: Allan Kroeker

Premise
After searching for six weeks inside the Delphic Expanse, the crew finally get a tip on finding a Xindi working as a miner and desperately wanting to escape.

Review
The Xindi are a collection of five distinct races. This is important information because in the first scene there are five races meeting together in a council talking about the Enterprise. All of these races are the Xindi. They are made of the same stuff, from the same planet, but their evolution has branched off. In "The Expanse", the shadowy dude from the future told Archer that the Xindi were told that Earth would destroy them some time in the future which is why they attacked. And now Earth is coming to their back yard. So the Xindi Council is preparing for an invasion.

Review
So, Wheatly decloaks over Earth and a-charges his lazor and cuts a huge trench in the state where I live. Oh, and also a few other countries. And suddenly the entire Trekdom is up in arms because this is something huge - something that should have been mentioned in one of the other series if it had ever happened. Right? Right?  ...I don't know; we'll see.
