While exploring the center of the galaxy, the crew meet the Devil and learn magic. Oh, yeah. It's that kind of episode.

Review
So, apparently, there is a theory that states that if the galaxy was created by an explosion, there could still be matter-creating explosions going on in the center of the galaxy. Now, scientists today tell us that the center of the galaxy is occupied by a supermassive black hole that holds the galaxy together in its orbit. Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country tells us that there is also a planet upon which is a god-like being that wants to steal the Enterprise. Today we will find that, besides these two things, there is also a portal into a magical dimension wherein the Devil plays.

When they get to the center of the galaxy (which, by the way, they treat as though it was the center of the universe...) they witness new matter being formed out of nothing. I suspect this is the matter that has the good fortune of making it out of the supermassive black hole via a polar jet. And then I'm just going to go ahead and suggest that the Enterprise gets caught in the supermassive black hole and it takes them to the magical realm of Megas-Tu. Here, in a parallel universe where the laws of physics are completely frakked, a goat-legged, horned creature who calls himself Lucien appears on the bridge.
And gives everyone spirit sprinkles. Because that's what Satan does.
Lucien acts all friendly and stuff and explains that they're in another dimension and can use magic and, "Here! Here's my home planet of Megas-Tu! Have fun and rollick and learn magic and stuff!" He also explains that eons ago he and his people visited Earth and helped the Earth people use magic and become witches and warlocks because they were just so generous, but then they had to leave because reasons. And then the authorities show up and put all the crew into stocks in a place that resembles ancient Salem, Massachusetts.

Asmodeus, who acts as a prosecutor in a trial against the crew says that when they were on Earth a long time ago, they were met with persecution and fear and he assumes humans are still the same way. Kirk says that was a long time ago and they've changed. Spock vouches for them as an unbiased third party. Lucien says "C'mon! Can't we all just be friends?" Asmodeus agrees to let the humans go, but he says Lucien still has to be punished for bringing the humans there. Kirk is like, "Nah, man, he's our friend!" and Asmodeus is like "OH REALLY? EVEN IF HIS REAL NAME IS... LUCIFER?" And Kirk is like "He's a flesh and blood being who was nice to us, that's all we have to know." But Asmodeus isn't having any of that crap, so he starts a magic fight with Kirk.
I SAY HEY! WHAT'S GOIN' ON?
Kirk has become quite adept at magic, turns out. He matches spells with Asmodeus and ends up telling the dude that he was acting just as bad as the Humans he was afraid of. So Asmodeus stops and thinks about it for a second. Kirk was willing to risk his life in order to save Lucien. Maybe Humans aren't that bad after all. So he lets the crew go back to the ship and go back home. The End.

Overall Thoughts
What... what just happened? I just... I remember... eating a mushroom... and then... oh, no...
