Star Trek: Asterisk's Weekly Aftermath in the Original Klingon

The final page. We're finally there. Thus ends another huge chapter in the story that is Star Trek: Asterisk. But before we sign the final line, there's one last piece of the story that has to be written - a new episode!

This week, Steve and I took our final voyage with The Original Series crew. Come along with us as we discuss the final film in the series, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Take a listen to our journey here.

Be sure to read Steve's review of the film, and make sure to spend some time in the Officer's Lounge. Also, remember that HAILING FREQUENCIES ARE OPEN at 513-ASTRISK (278-7475). It was a long run, full of adventure and action. We all learned a great deal and grew by leaps and bounds. But all good things must come to an end. What? No, I was talking about The Original Series movies, not Star Trek: Asterisk! We've got a new episode of that right now!

This week, the Captain and I finally completed our journey with the sixth and final film with The Original Series crew - Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Journey with us as we enjoy this fine film. You'll find our adventure here.

Go check out Steve's written review, and stay tuned for the Aftermath, following almost immediately. Also, HAILING FREQUENCIES ARE OPEN at 513-ASTRISK (278-7475), so keep those questions and comments coming! Finally, relax for a few weeks as we take some well-deserved shore leave. Zombies! RUN!

Raise the gates!

Alright, Runner Five, let me tell you how I plan on getting fit over the next few... however long it takes. But, erm... first... a little background. Y'see, before the world went to hell, I didn't have a car anyway. I was forced to walk to work. Well... from work... I could usually bum a ride off my roommate to get there, but by the time I left, well... not even owls were awake, I suppose. Don't quote me on that. I don't know the sleep cycle of owls... Anyway...

Then... the world went mad. I think I first heard about the Zoms whilst talking with a friend on instant messenger. And then I read about them on Facebook. And before I knew it, everyone I met had somehow come in contact with a zombie. I knew it was only a matter of time before they reached my township, so I prepared. I forwent the rides to work and built up the strength in my legs. Unfortunately, due to a knee injury, I'm not able to full-out run, but you can still outpace a zombie if you're just able to move above a slow shamble.

Review
Somewhere deep in Klingon space, a moon explodes. And somewhere along the neutral zone, Captain Sulu is enjoying a sip of tea. The subspace shockwave from the explosion of the Praxis moon roll through space and shakes up the Excelsior, causing Captain Sulu to drop his tea and hold on tight while the shields struggle to hold. Tracing the source of the explosion back to Praxis, Sulu offers the Klingons help, but the Klingon High Command on Qo'nos says that everything is under control and not to cross into the neutral zone. So, Sulu, undoubtedly wishing to distinguish himself from the actions of his old commander, obeys the order.
